In 2007, we were invited to the HOn3 Symposium in Occidental, CA. We had never been to this part of the country, had no idea what to expect, and were surprised every step of the way.
The North Coast Narrow Gaugers hosted the show in Occidental, CA.
It was a very small show in comparison to other shows we attend, which allowed us to relax and meet and talk one-on-one with some great modelers, historians, and manufacturers, all in a very laid back environment, in a beautiful town rich with history and architecture. The group even arranged a tour and live steam operation of the Sturgeon’s Saw Mill. Boone Morrison took control of the cutting for a while. The pictures below show a little of the process of cutting down a HUGE timber. It was AWESOME!
If you have some pictures you would like to share, email them to us and we will add them to this page. Include a little bit of text explaining the picture, who is in it, and what we are looking at. This would be a great show to see organized again!
